Introduction

In order to manage the work of the farm, some land was acquired from the local people and some land was taken for a total of 76. This farm has been conducting its activities in an area of ​​215 hectares. The work of collecting and producing rootstock plants necessary for the production of climate-friendly advanced vegetable seeds / harvesting, winter fruit grafting and harvesting was done at the initial stage. In the year 2025, the work of establishing Maubot Block was started by bringing seedlings of various varieties of winter fruits (apples, pears, peaches, mangoes, etc.) from India. Since then, the work of seed/harvest production and sales distribution has been being done regularly.

In terms of geographical structure, the soil is sandy loam with deep grooves spread in the east / north of Mohada.

In terms of climate, this farm is at an altitude of 2322 meters to 2424 meters above sea level, and the annual average maximum temperature is 22 degrees Celsius, minimum temperature is 8 degrees Celsius, and annual rainfall is 3000 to 3396 millimeters. In this region, there is hail from Chaitra to June, and from Kartik to Falgun, and from January to Falgun, there is also snowfall.

Target

Major functions

To fulfill the objectives of the National Agricultural Policy, to increase agricultural production and productivity, to produce quality seeds and grafted plants, winter fruits (apples, pears, peaches, mangosteens, walnuts, haluvaved, katus and kiwi) in the districts where resources have been secured from the Directorate of Fruit Development. The grafted seedlings are being sold and distributed. Currently, the main activities conducted by this center are as follows.

Orchard and nursery management
Seed potato production and sales distribution
Vegetable and decorative plant production and sales distribution
Conservation and enrichment of fruit and vegetable germplasm
Private nurseries, model fruit orchards, monitoring, inspection and technical services
For manpower development, fruit cultivation, school horticulture program operation, broadcast of agricultural messages from local FM.


Purpose


To raise awareness among the farmers about the economic and nutritional importance of long-term fruits and vegetables and to increase the daily consumption of fresh vegetables and fruits to prevent malnutrition and help them lead a healthy life.

To encourage the use of quality seeds/seeds/seeds to increase the production and productivity of fruits, fresh vegetables, potato crops and help to increase the productivity per unit of land.

To prevent increasing soil erosion in hilly areas and to expand fruit cultivation in steep fields, to help in environmental protection by transferring technology through horticultural development.
